Training

CYC are looking to hold a training day prior to the season opening. We are seeking expression from those members who may have their power boat licence but do not feel comfortable in operating the rescue boat. The aim of this day is to teach you how to operate and to use trim and tilt. As a valuable volunteer with our club we want you to have the confidence to play your role when called upon. The training will take place at Lake Bullen Merri on October 17th. Time to be advised.
Please message if you would like to partake in the training.

Junior sailing

The Colac Yacht Club is seeking expression of interest for potential junior sailors. CYC along with Derrinallum sailing club are looking to revive the learn to sail program this year. Due to low water levels at Colac & Derrinallum it is hopeful that the program will take place at Lake Purrumbete.
For the program to be successful it will require parents to commit to helping the trainers both on and off the water.
If you have a son or daughter keen to try sailing then please contact the club via our FB page or email on info@colacyachtclub.com.au

Presentation

Well season 2014-2015 officially ended with the presentation evening. With a larger number of people in attendance than previous years it was a great opportunity to catch up and reminisce about the season.

The handicap results were very close, with only two points separating three yachts. View results.

CYC were also fortunate on the evening to have Matt Harper and his family from Derrinallum attend. Matt is the current commodore of the Derrinallum Sailing and Power Boat Club and past President of the Western Zone Club. Matt is the new owner of a Sonata 6 and sailed on the last pennant day.
